new site yippie

at this point you can probably guess im a bit of an astro glazer. i currently have no plans to pretend otherwise.

the hero is a WebGL2 fragment shader doing ordered (Bayer 8x8) dithering over a domain-warped sine field, morphing into the pill nav as you scroll. obviously i’m absolutely clueless as to how this actually works math wise, i just saw something interesting on shadertoy and thought “i could make this cooler and turn it into a centerpiece”. if i said i wasnt a sucker for fancy webgl shaders that serve no real purpose, i would be lying.

i have to admit it has been a while since i’ve last built a site that looked modern. in all honesty im a pretty massive hater of how the modern web has evolved and dont like how “same” and lifeless/soulless everything is. the same stuff overused so much, even if originally cool, drains all the whimsy it ever had in my eyes, and the less unique a site looks the less will i have not to ctrl w right away.

the internet might have to admit that not everything needs to be modern cluttered unintuitive vercelslop style. it was unique when they did it, not when 10 million other sites copied it exactly.

thank you for coming to my ted talk hit piece. bring back the small web
